My chat experience was easy and simple. The more libraries that offer IM the easier it is for patrons to ask for help. Our library does not currently use any kind of chat/IM system but we hope to do so in the near future.

First of all I have been a huge comedy podcast fan for a couple years now. Mostly a fan of The Joe Rogan Expierence or any of the Deathsquad podcasts. I think eventually some library's could use this but for the most part it will probably larger libary's that do so.

I have already used this on a personal level before. It is pretty neat and fun. I think it is great for libraries to share photos from all over. Just another way for libraries and patrons to interact with each other.

 Before this lesson I had never heard of Google Reader. Now I will probably use this everyday. It is a great way to read up on news and events.

Method 3

Computing in the Cloud is a more effecient way to get things done. I opened up different things using Google Docs and have enjoyed using them. I am also using these tools for the computer classes that I teach. My students can now save all of there work in the cloud which makes the classes run a lot smoother.

This program was great and I had a good time learning all about the new tools we can now use for our library. The next step is to put our library out there for everyone to see and interact with.

Method 8

Facebook is a great way to inform your patrons about up coming events. Our library has its own facebook page and we post pictures and news of any new events. Its like free advertising.
